Ditch the flip-flops, we’ve got work to do.
Did you know that most New Year's resolutions fail by January 12?
Sadly, only 8% of resolution setters actually see success!
Why? Because most of us are aiming for Mount Everest while wearing flip-flops. Setting our goals too high without the right support or tools.
Why Not Rewrite the Narrative?
As we step into the year of the wood snake on January 29th, let's harness this fresh energy to transform these dismal numbers. It's time to re-think those colossal goals and elevate your strategies for success.
The wood snake symbolizes patience and insight; so why not embrace these qualities to craft a vision for sustained growth and enduring success. Here are 5 “SNAKE” worthy goals that easily can align with your personal and professional plans.
Support your local community. This year, make it a priority to connect with local businesses and cultivate genuine relationships within your neighborhoods to promote growth in your communities.
Nurture in nature. Set a goal to embrace the great outdoors—whether it's a weekly walk, some gardening, or, for me, spending more time with my horses—and have fun hitting those health milestones.
Ask for help. Reach out when you need a hand, and delegate tasks that don't play to your strengths.
Keep it simple. Find a strategy that works for you. This year, I'm adopting WOOP—wish, outcome, obstacle, plan. It’s efficient, effective, and easy to follow.
Explore your passions. Hobbies like photography, writing, or wine tasting can ignite creativity and refresh the mind and spirit.
For my clients, embracing these principles can lead to tailored strategies that balance growth with simplicity. Keeping in mind, the best resolutions are ones that feel right for you and brings joy or fulfillment into your life. Because at the end of the day, our work should fuel our play.
In the Year of the Wood Snake, let me help you make your resolutions stick like glue—because just like a snake can shed its skin, we can definitely ditch those annoying bad habits for a greater good!
